Marriage was in God’s plan even at the beginning of creation. Therefore, strong marriages are most desirable in fulfilling God’s plan for mankind. Strong marriages ensure strong families which in turn contribute towards building a strong and stable society. When a marriage is strong, all members of the family are greatly blessed – there is happiness, love, acceptance, communication and an environment for the growth and development of wholesome individuals. Therefore, time and effort invested in strengthening the marriage is far more rewarding and fulfilling than any other investment. With marriages breaking down at an alarming rate and families becoming increasingly dysfunctional, Christian families can be a testimony to the watching world. With God’s guiding principles laid out in His Word, Christian marriages and families must be strong and exemplary.
