D11: Justice

How do we pray for Justice? We need two things. Firstly, identification with those who have no recourse to justice. Secondly, we need to agonise in prayer, crying on their behalf because the poor have no voice. An authority to speak out for justice will come as we pray as it is God’s will to bring about justice for his children who cry to him day and night. Will we cry both day and night on behalf of those who need to see the vindication of God upon their land?

And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? (Luke 18:7)

Prayer Suggestions: • Pray for the church to identify with those who are suffering and who are marginalised. • Pray for the church to cry for justice. • Pray for injustice to be removed from the land.
