by NECF Malaysia 40-Day Fast & Prayer
Strike the shepherd and the sheep will scatter. The enemy knows where to strike. Pastors, elders and church leaders are often the chief targets of the enemy's attack. Spiritual leaders are not super-beings. They have their needs, limitations and weaknesses. In addition, the ministry has become more and more complex and challenging. To be effective servants of God, they need the affirmation, assistance, support and encouragement from the Body. Their success will in turn result in the success of the Body and the Church! Believers, let us arise and be committed to pray daily for our spiritual leaders to make the difference.
Reflection: Mark 14:27, Hebrews 13:17. As leaders are the prime target of the enemy, how often do you pray for your pastor, elder or leader? Do you hold any grudge, anger or frustration against your spiritual leader? Take this time to confess to the Lord and ask Him to cleanse and heal every offence and hurt.
