Day 40: For a Better Malaysia

Brothers, truly my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is for it to be saved. (Romans 10:1)For I myself was wishing to be accursed from Christ for my brothers, my kinsmen according to the flesh, (Romans 9:3)
Much has been said about Malaysia. Unfortunately, there are more negative news than positive ones. Sometimes it appears as though there is no hope for the nation. This has created a wrong perception in the minds of the public in particular the young. Many have chosen to abandon the nation and migrate overseas. But are these facts true? Do we see widespread poverty? Do we see civil strife? Do we see war? While we are not denying there are problems in the nation, the nation itself is not as bad as it is perceived. In fact, it is still a land filled with much goodness. We have one of the best infrastructures, good education and medical care, and affordable cost of living. With the millions of migrant workers in the nation, surely it is a testimony that anyone can make a decent living here. Instead of mourning, let give thanks to God. Instead of migrating, let us make this our permanent home and work to make it a better place

Prayer Points:

  • Christians will see beyond the flaws of the nation and recognize her goodness, potential and destiny
  • Christian will embrace and love the nation
  • Christians will seek the welfare of the nation
  • Christians will make a difference in the nation.

Prayer Shield: for our elders, pastors and leaders
Leaders’ weakness: Struggles
