Hari Raya Aidilfitri is a Muslim holiday that
is celebrated by Muslims all over the
world to mark the end of their fasting month.
In Malaysia, Muslims start the day by wearing
new clothes and congregating in mosques
early in the morning for prayers followed
by visits to the graves of the departed. The
young will ask for forgiveness from their
elders and homes will be open to relatives and
friends. Plenty of traditional Malay delicacies
are served during this festive season. The
celebration lasts for a month but most of it is
concentrated in the first three days. Muslims
also give packets of money to children when
they go visiting. Overall, Hari Raya Puasa is
a joyous occasion for Muslims.
Prayer Suggestions:
• Pray for God to bless our Muslim
neighbours.
• Pray that they will also enter into
Jubilee.
